conde-nast-publications_-unsubscribe-page

I really like this retention model. The “on second thought” gently guides the user into a thought process in which they decide not to unsubscribe after all. It’s not an argument; it’s the implication that an argument has already taken place, and been lost. It’s a gentle reminder that, in general, maintaining the status quo is easier than the alternative.

I did go ahead and unsubscribe, though, because I’m not looking for the easy route.

That’s funny. When people ask me if I’m sure I want to unsubscribe, I’m usually filled with rage. I find myself wanting to yell at the computer screen, “Do you have any idea how much spam I’m already getting?”
